Expanding access to healthcare services for all employees through Discovery PrimaryCare

Discovery Health is well positioned to meet the healthcare needs of all employees and to facilitate the delivery of employer-funded primary and worksite care.

By leveraging its healthcare assets, the Discovery Health PrimaryCare programme allows for your clients who are employers to provide access to private healthcare at a cost that is acceptable to employees at all income levels.

The following healthcare services are available through Discovery PrimaryCare for R199 a month for each employee member, excluding VAT:

  • GP visits
  • Prescription medicine
  • Chronic medicine
  • Basic pathology (blood tests)
  • Basic radiology (x-rays)
  • Ambulance service

More healthcare and wellness services are also available, including optometry and dentistry. 

Further features of Discovery PrimaryCare are:

  • No exclusions and no waiting periods for employees
  • No individual application forms
  • No chronic application requirements for employees
  • Seamless billing integration, including arrears payments, for your employer clients
