Childhood Vaccinations
About
Children under two years will earn 500 Vitality points for your family for completing each relevant vaccination before the age of two. Points are awarded for vaccinations done at birth, six weeks, 10 weeks, 14 weeks, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, and 18 months.
Points will be awarded once we receive proof of your child's vaccination and will reflect on your Vitality points tracker within a few working days.

Need to know
Childhood vaccinations protect children against diseases like polio and measles, which can have a detrimental effect on their future health.
Once your child has had a vaccination, submit proof of your screening on the Claim Vitality Points page for your points to be awarded. Please allow 48 hours for processing, you can then check that these points have been awarded on your Vitality Points Tracker.
The points that will be allocated will reflect on the date the vaccine took place.

Take your children to a healthcare professional to have their vaccinations done. If you are claiming the cost of this vaccination from a medical scheme administered by Discovery Health you do not need to submit proof as points will be awarded automatically. Please allow 7 days for your points to reflect.
If you are not claiming the cost of these vaccinations, submit your child's clinic card on the Claim Vitality Points page to earn your points. Please allow 48 hours for processing, you can then check that these points have been awarded on your Vitality Points Tracker.
Paying for these vaccinations
If you are a member of a scheme administered by Discovery Health, you can claim for vaccinations from the available funds in your Medical Savings Account. The costs do not count towards the Annual Threshold.
