Track your child’s health journey with the Kids Electronic Health Record
Visiting health professionals for all kinds of different reasons is just a part of growing up. Having immediate access to your child’s full medical history will help any health professional diagnose and treat your little ones better.
The new Kids’ Electronic Health Record will give you the ability to do just that. Track a number of important measures and make more holistic decisions when it comes to your child’s health and wellness. You can access:
- The details of your child’s completed Kids’ Vitality Health Check and Kids’ Vitality Health Reviews
- A full history of your little one’s healthcare that includes doctor visits, hospitalisations and medications
- Vaccination records
- Milestones
- Lifestyle data
Kick start your child’s health journey with a Kids Vitality Health Check
Make sure your child is developing at a healthy rate by booking them for a Kids’ Vitality Health Check at a Vitality Wellness Network pharmacy. You’ll also earn 2 500 points.
The Kids Vitality Health Check includes a Body Mass Index (BMI) and blood pressure measurements, as well as a health behaviour and developmental questionnaire. A trained nurse will discuss any health concerns with you and you’ll also get a personalised feedback report after completing the assessment.
The Vitality Child Health Assessment has been discontinued. Vitality members can now earn 2 500 points per child when they can go for a Kids Vitality Health Check.

*If you are a Discovery Health member and would like your child’s consultation with a dentist or optometrist to be covered by your medical plan, please first check whether your plan type will cover these consultations by calling Discovery Health on 0860 99 88 77. You can also email your query to healthinfo@discovery.co.za, allowing two to three working days for feedback.
Protect your child from illnesses
Make sure your child is protected from a number of illnesses by taking them for all the necessary vaccinations between two and seven years old. You’ll also earn 500 Vitality points for each set of vaccinations.
