On your marks, get set – RACE

Taking part in race events is a great way to stay motivated to exercise regularly – from a 5km fun run to an endurance event such as a cycle race or marathon. To celebrate all levels of event participation of our Vitality members, we have expanded our race event calendar to include any timed and verified race event in the disciplines of cycling, walking/running, swimming and major multisport events. This means you are able to compete both locally and in international events – and be rewarded for it.

We are excited to recognise your participation in races anywhere in the world – just by sharing proof of race completion with a race certificate or other supporting documentation.

How to earn fitness points by completing a race event: 

To earn Vitality fitness points for completing a race event, submit your race event details to us. We accept proof of race completion in the form of a race results certificate (pdf or scanned) or a screenshot of the results with relevant info. The supporting document needs to have the following to be considered certified proof of completion of the event:

  1. Your name and surname
  2. Event name
  3. Event date
  4. Race type
  5. Distance
  6. Race number
  7. Finish time

Points for race events will be allocated depending on the discipline and distance of the event. Members have until the Friday at 17:00 after an event takes place to submit their submission so as to count towards Vitality Active Rewards goals. Late submissions will still count towards Vitality fitness points. Please note that if you participated in any events that were not already on our race calendar prior to 20 August 2016, you will not qualify for Vitality points as points allocations will not be backdated.
