You can now donate your Discovery Miles to help SA Harvest, South Africa's fastest-growing food rescue operation, provide nutritious meals to people in need through Vitality MoveToGive.

Food insecurity is one of the most urgent crises facing our country. Every day, up to 20 million men, women and children go to sleep hungry in South Africa. At the same time, 10 million tonnes of food are wasted every year. SA Harvest's mission is to end hunger in South Africa by rescuing nutritious food that would have gone to waste and delivering it where it's needed most. Take a look:

Your Discovery Miles can help SA Harvest fight hunger

Get active, drive well or spend responsibly through Vitality Active Rewards to earn Discovery Miles. From 16 November to 21 December 2021, you can donate your Discovery Miles to SA Harvest through Vitality MoveToGive:

• For 150 Discovery Miles, you can donate a daily nutritious meal for a person in need for a week.
• For 600 Discovery Miles, you can donate a daily nutritious meal for a family in need for a week.
• For 1 200 Discovery Miles , you can donate a daily nutritious meal for a family in need for two weeks.
• For 2 400 Discovery Miles, you can donate a daily nutritious meal for a family in need for a month.

How you can donate

Here's how you can donate your Discovery Miles to SA Harvest through Vitality MoveToGive in the Discovery app:

1. Activate Vitality Active Rewards in the latest version of the Discovery app.
2. Achieve your exercise, drive or money goals to earn a play on the gameboard.
3. Pick a tile on the gameboard to reveal Discovery Miles.
4. Spend your Discovery Miles on Vitality MoveToGive charity donations.
